Beyond the Center: Global Perspectives on British and American Studies

The Interdisciplinary British and American Studies (IBAS) Journal is pleased to announce its call for papers for the upcoming 2026 issues. As an independent, international academic platform, IBAS continues to bridge the gap between literature and social sciences.

We especially encourage submissions from researchers in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. IBAS prioritizes non-native perspectives to re-evaluate "the center" of British and American cultures through diverse cultural and social filters.

We invite original research that utilizes interdisciplinary methods, including but not limited to:

  • Decolonial and Post-Colonial Analyses.

  • Sociological and Feminist Social Work Perspectives in Literature.

  • Digital Humanities and AI in Translation Studies.

  • Linguistic Studies on non-native English contexts.

  • Format: Articles should follow the journal template (available at our website) which adopts Chicago Manual.

  • Language: English.

  • Submission Deadline: April 15, 2026.
